you should go to Wu Lai （烏來 ) … it’s up in the mountains but there is a bus that goes directly up there at the Xin Dian（ 新店）metro station.

you should just go on the metro & get off somewhere random. shida night market is great (my favorite). check out elephant mountain!

doesn’t get much better than shilin, but try gongguan or yongkang (between guting station)
